Our homemade daily gut health shot couples nicely with the probiotic benefits of kefir and the anti-inflammatory properties of ginger and turmeric, creating a nutritious and beneficial daily shot for your gut health. Ginger and turmeric are saviours for gut health due to their anti-inflammatory properties, these spices are known to reduce gut inflammation, ease digestive discomfort, and promote a healthy gut microbiome.

Ingredients

Gut shot:

1/2 cup of Good Company's Kefir
1 teaspoon of honey (optional, for sweetness)
1/4 teaspoon of ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon of ground turmeric
A pinch of black pepper
A dash of freshly squeezed lemon juice (optional)

Method

Step 1

In a small bowl or glass, add the plain kefir.

Step 2

If you prefer a touch of sweetness, you can add a teaspoon of honey to the kefir. Stir it well until the honey is fully dissolved.

Step 3

Sprinkle in the ground ginger and ground turmeric. These ingredients are known for their potential benefits to gut health.

Step 4

Add a pinch of black pepper to enhance the absorption of turmeric's active compound, curcumin.

Step 5

If you'd like to add a hint of freshness and extra vitamin C, squeeze a dash of lemon juice into the mixture. This step is optional but can be a nice addition.
